1. What is TMJ?
- TMJ is the
jaw joint. People with TMJ disfunction often
suffer pain, joint noises or "popping"
and jaw locking.

How is TMJ caused?
- It is often
caused by direct and indirect trauma to the head
and neck area, such as whiplash from an auto
accident.

How is it treated?
- Our office
treats TMJ non-surgically. This is usually though
the use of an oral orthopedic appliance worn over
the teeth.
